FNM Report Dredge v2.0

Match1
vs random scrub= win

Match2 vs Dralnu (Brandon)
Game1 slow start, no Fatty Seer, never get 3 creatures in play, get run down by Vamp. loss
Game2 side in Krosan Grip, he starts with a Leyline Void in play and I never see a Grip loss

Match3 vs Dralnu (Jon)
Game1 I see Forest, Mouth, GhostQ x2, I GQ away his lands, he never lets me cast LifeFdLoam and i never draw any more land loss
Game2 Zoinks! it works, Creature x3 + DreadR = Akroma, triple swing, concede, win
Game3 I try and cast DreadR, he counters leaving me critter less for a few, he casts Teferi, I Mouth it, He Extirpates lots of stuff, eventually we run out of time. Draw

Match4 buy

I place 3rd or something and get 1 pack. I'm not really liking Dredge, I built it 'cuz it's supposed to beat Dralnu which is very prevalent where i play; Either i don't know how to play it or the deck sucks balls. I think I'll play Blink187 next week.

i see 2 lands game 1 loss mulligan down to 5, one of the hands i discard is 6 lands

he pops out little critters that make his glade Gnarr bigger, I can't swampwalk fast enough to beat his critter production - loss
I have 1st turn Essance Warden, eventually getting my life to 42, I shadow him to death. -win
I get over run, Baloth too slow -loss

he plays a 6/6 trampler , I Pre on it, he can't find enough critters, -win
he tries again to play the trampler i sac land to pop on top, I play hunting wilds to stall him while i beat with swampwalkers - win

AGRO:
* KarstenBot Babykiller - Pete278
Flores made it, so it has to be good, right? Well, even if that logic is a little off, the GR Snow Aggro/LD deck which was unveiled shortly before the rotation is still good, using it's numerous one-drop acclerants to cast Cryoclasm and Stone Rain against control on turn 2. It also runs stormbind to make use of extra lands, and to pitch near useless LD in game 1 against aggro.
* Zoo - Krowzy
Zoo attempts to trump Gruul Beats and Boros Deck Wins by running all 3 colours, to gain access to Kird Ape, Watchwolf and Lightning Helix. While arguably the most powerful of the Aggressive archetypes, it is also occassionally known to have problems with it's expensive and painful mana base
* Boros Deck Wins - BallLightning
Utilizing the most efficient of the aggressive creatures in both white and red, and packing a whopping 20 burn spells to give it reach after the most hated enemy of aggro, Boros Deck Wins is a very fast and efficient Aggressive deck.
* U/G Scryb & Force // U/G Aggro - |Erasmus|
There are two different schools of UG aggro-control in this format, but both rely on pumping out efficient, dangerous threats using Llanowar Elves and Birds of Paradise, then protecting them with counters like remand and voidslime.
* Mono-Green Aggro - kidsmokin
Mono-Green Aggro attempts to utlilize green's many forms of evasion and untargetability, as well as the best pump spells and aura's in the format. It is capable of dealing alot of damage very quickly, leaving the opponent unable to block.
* Suicide Black - blackcat77
- Suicide Black is not for the faint of heart. Most of its cards are undercosted but have some unfortunate drawback. The deck likes to either empty an opponents hand via discard, or removes all the opponents blockers, while attacking with fast creatures that often have some form of evasion (Shadow, Flying, Fear, or Pro White).
Crank Boom - Tallowisp24 and FunkyRatDemon
Crank Boom is an anagram for Mono B Rack. Crank Boom is a aggro deck that takes advantage of The Rack and early game Creatures, supplemented by discard and creature removal. The deck utilizes Haakon, Stromgald Scourge and Stromgald Crusader as recurring beats, while a Mindslicer provides a constant threat, and Bob refuels your hand. The deck also utilizes Phyrexian Totems as a constant Beatstick vs. Control. This deck originated in Washington by someone who top 8'd
Panda Connection - Teferi44
The new BW aggro-control deck piloted by Oyvind Anderson and Chris McDaniel at Worlds 2006. May or may not use Martyr of Sands to offset the life loss caused by the card advantage engine.

CONTROL:
Dralnu du Louvre - myxplt
What does this draw-go control do when it's played out all it's counterspells... play them again, of course! Running twice as much permission and card draw as normal, and using Mystical Teachings to fetch Dralnu with Teferi, this deck has amazing card advantage.
* U/W Control - Mr.Indigo
Blue has always been the colour of permission control, and has always had trouble with dealing with anything it couldn't counter. When the mana base has allowed it to work, Blue has historically paired with White to have access to the mighty Wrath of God. Things are no different now, with Wrath of God and the other disruption available trumping aggro, and blues permission elements trumping control.
* RWB Firemane Control -LowGuppy
While related to the UWR Firemane deck of old, the Black version trades in it's Compulsive Research with Phyrexian Arena, and replaces it's permission suite and zur's weirding lock with other control elements, like mortify, castigate and Persecute.
* UWR Firemane Control
A relatively tempo based control deck that abuses the currently popular draw and discard options such as Compulsive Research to set up an early Firemane Angel in the graveyard to help combat aggro. Some builds are capable of locking down the game with a Zur's Weirding in unison with the Angels for an 'almost' hard lock.
* IzzeTron - Salty_Jon
Utilizing the power of the Urzatron lands, and with mana producing signets to provide mana fixing for their massive colourless production and a way to break their own wildfire IzzeTron is a massively tempo-based control deck, capable of playing the biggest, baddest spells in the format

* UR Vore - bobothehobo8
Don't you just hate it when your opponent has lands? The reason that vore works is because it can deny this luxury to your opponent starting from turn 2, eventually killing your opponent with a Magnivore which is fueled by the very spells you have used to disrupt your opponent.
* The Rock (B/G Control) - Prince Charming Frog
The B/G Control deck, the rock has access to alot of powerdul options. It has great removal in Putrefy, a great card advantage engine in Phyrexian Arena and great disruption in the form of [/card]Persecute[/card]. It even has good win conditions with cards like Grave-Shell Scarab, Skeletal Vampire and Plague Sliver.
MUC (Mono-blue Control) - bobothehobo8
The Ultimate Counterspell deck, MUC actually has options to deal with aggro in the Current T2, from Phyrexian Ironfoot to Desert and Mouth of Ronom. Teferi's triple blue mana cost is also easy to achieve in this deck, giving it fantastic game against all the control decks in the format.
* Blink - Kavu Overlord
The Blink deck attempts to control the game by casting Momentary Blink on it's Mystic Snakes and Loxodon Hierarchs. Getting a second use out of these cards, and often a third, with flashback, at a less prohibitive mana cost than the original makes this deck quite powerful.
* G/W Glare - Jok3r
The most successful deck at the 2006 Champs (at least in North America), the current evolution of the big hit from the previous years world championships is still strong with new boys Thelonite Hermit, Yavimaya Dryad and Stonewood Invocation giving the deck alot more power and flexibility.

COMBO:
* Dragonstorm - Stormanimagus
The only thing better than casting one Bogardan Hellkite? Tutoring up 4 of them to kill your opponent straight away! Utilizing Lotus Bloom, Rite of Flame and Seething Song to increase the storm count and generate mana in order to cast Dragonstorm for at least a storm count of 3, to win the game in one turn.
* Solar Flare/Solar Pox - nwonder
Thought by some to be the natural evolution of Solar Flare, and others to be strictly worse than it's pre-decessor, the Smallpox based version trades in its remands and Persecutes in order to include a few copies of Haakon, Stromgald Scourge alongside it's signature spell. This allows it to recur many Court Hussar's from the grave, and to discard Akroma or Haakon as early as turn 2.
* Proclamation Decks/Snow White - Jujuhawk
Does Marty of Sands look like it gains alot of life? Children of Korlis keep you alive? How about using the forecast ability of Proclamation of Rebirth to use them every single turn? It's this recursive, and not so easily disruptable engine which allows this deck to ignore what the opponent has on the board, and gain 16 Million Life.
* Land.dec - Pete278
Land.dec is an archetype created on these boards which attemps to utilise the power of LftL and the plethora of utility lands that sacrifice themselves for an effect that are available in this format. The majority of lists also run stormbind as a solid removal/win condition as LFtL allows you to effectively draw 3 cards a turn to feed it.
Aetherplay - DodoStek
Aetherplay attempts to abuse powerful Comes-into-play abilities by cheating the high mana costs of the creatures which have them, using cards like Aethermages Touch, Zombify and Momentary Blink.
